WHAT AT FIRST appeared like a care-free candid photograph has taken on the air of a consciousness untethering from reality as the bright smile beaming forth from the images gains an unhinged quality the longer followers look at it.

‘LifeOfRe1lly’ influencer Ciara Reilly had obviously intended to share a snap of her holiday which would draw out envy and jealously in her 12,000 followers but further examination reveals her smile has taken on an uncanny-valley robotic quality that conjures up the very antithesis of human characteristics.
