WITH no clear motivation or reasoning evident, Irish influencers who have been bombarding your feeds in recent years with gushing testimonials for Dubai have deleted all evidence they ever holidayed there on someone’s else dime in exchange for glowing reviews and dismissal of long established human rights concerns.

“Oh it was weird, Instagram said I had too many posts or something, and I had to delete old ones to make room, no other reason for deleting,” shared one influencer who also uncharacteristically refrained from posting her weekly ‘take me back’ throwback selfie.

The recent mass deleting of photos and subsequent failure of other influencers to upload new Dubai based selfies has perplexed the influencers’ core demographic of followers; people who don’t pay attention to the news, as it has left them swearing Dubai featured heavily across several reels and highlights.

“All the melts will be in my comments about Saudi Arabia,” confirmed one influencer, of his trip to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, “So what, I went there six times and constantly read people the riot act when they tired to bring up daft stuff in the news about human wrongs and rights. We’re not perfect in the west y’know, or at least that was the stock defence I was told to use”.

Some health officials fear the mass deletion of photos could be the result of influencer-specific viral outbreak which depletes a person’s reserves of vacuous narcissism.

“Christy Kinahan hasn’t posted a Google review of a restaurant in hours, And there’s no Forge Stout selfies in a Dubai pub to be found, this is bad,” said one doctor.
