‘Manufacturing Consent’ Taking On Whole New Meaning After Noam Chomsky Pictured With Jeffrey Epstein For 3,000th Time
NOW THAT Noam Chomsky has appeared once again in the latest tranche of Epstein files, the famed intellectual’s seminal work ‘Manufacturing Consent’ has taken on a whole new meaning and called on men who love the sound of their own voice to question everything they pretend to know, WWN can report.
“I can’t help but wonder if some of the observations of the political economy of the mass media could be transposed onto a prolific sex-trafficker and paedophile and how he controlled young girls and women, cornering them and making them think they wanted to be in a company of a decrepit and creepy philosopher pushing 90, for example” said one observer, who once took Chomsky to be a morally upright person.
Many longtime fans of the intellectual’s output are now reappraising his published work and have begun to gain a deeper understanding of the core messages.
“If corporate-owned media acts as a propaganda machine for the status quo of the monied elite, could that central thesis be applied to any other scenario or setting? Say Noam Chomsky sympathising via email with prolific paedophile Jeffrey Epstein about how ‘Me Too’ was going too far? Could constantly insisting people who are anti-sex crimes are ‘overreacting’ be propaganda for the sorts of people who invite you to their private island where abuse trafficked women and girls?” pondered another former student of Chomsky’s work.
“I feel sorry for Epstein actually, you can tell with Chomsky writing to him to say ‘I’ve watched the horrible way you are being treated in the press and public. It’s painful to say but I think the best way to proceed is to ignore it’ he probably thought Manufacturing Consent was a stringent defence of sex offenders,” added another.
Meanwhile, for some people reading up on the latest Epstein files revelations it has become a source of great pain as their heroes become embroiled in the nasty world of the New York financier.
“Agh, not Woody Allen? One of the last upstanding good guys. Damn it!” proclaimed one distraught film fan.
