200 Kilos Of Cocaine Found On Government Jet

GARDAÍ involved in the extradition of Daniel Kinahan were left red-faced this morning after a routine check of the government jet found over 200 kilos of cocaine onboard.

“You’ve got to hand it to him, he’s good at what he does,” a customs official told WWN earlier today, after a sniffer dog on a routine search alerted officers to the jet’s hold containing the drugs.

Gardaí estimated the haul is worth €14 million and are now investigating how the Dubliner managed to smuggle the drugs aboard while being extradited from Dubai for drug smuggling.

Kinahan appeared before a panel of three judges at the Special Criminal Court in Dublin yesterday evening, charged with directing the activities of a criminal organisation between 18 October 2015 and 6 April 2017.

“He’s innocent, this whole thing is a waste of taxpayers’ money!” said one of the hundreds of local drug cartel supporters outside the court, who believed one of the biggest cartel leaders in the world should have been extradited on a Ryanair flight. “He was talking on a podcast and sounded like a nice, decent, God-fearing man who was hard done by by the state.”

Meanwhile, Kinahan is expected to apply for free legal aid, knowing there is now a backlog in legal aid court cases thanks to a standoff between solicitors and the Minister for Justice over pay, and should see his trial begin in 2035.
