Migrants Surprised How Small Spain Actually Is

TENS of thousands of migrants who breached the border fence of Ceuta yesterday are said to be astounded at how small Spain actually is.

Over 50,000 migrants chiefly from Morocco arrived by sea and land in a single day, overwhelming authorities and the Spanish territory.

“We walked the length of it before lunch. Grand, like, but I thought there’d be more of it,” one man pointed out. “It’s basically a car park and two beaches.”

The scenes of people breaching security fences and swimming to shore quickly flooded social media, panicking some mainland Europeans and sympathisers into actually taking the trouble to locate Ceuta on a map.

“Ah! Ceuta is in Spain but actually in Africa and Europe is not in Africa? I’m confused” said US based X influencer, before posting the footage several dozen times. “Let’s not look a gift horse in the mouth here.”

Meanwhile on the other side of the fence, Moroccan officials have sympathised with Spain on the breach, stating: “Terrible what happened. Awful stuff. Anyway, how’s that Algerian gas working out for you, Spain?”

Officials in Brussels confirmed the migrants were now subject to full European law, protection and free movement, on the strict condition that they remain in the bits of Africa that Europe’s colonial powers stole.
