Man Left Braindead After Outsourcing All Thinking To ChatGPT
A NOW CATATONIC man, once of sound and vibrant mind, spends his days helpless and blank due to his slow descent into letting AI chat bots do all his thinking for him.
“His brain function is so low an ant couldn’t limbo underneath it,” explained Dr Fred Fallon, of patient Dermot Rankin, who lay braindead in a hospital ward.
Rankin had begun to use ChatGPT as a curiosity some 18 months ago, but his relationship with it developed to the point where he stopped using all basic cognitive functions.
“We saw this in previous years with the advent of Google, people would Google ‘what time is it’ instead of looking at their watch or a clock, but it never got to the point were it rendered the human mind useless and vacant, they ask ‘what is the capital of Armenia’ and lose their mind when it tells them the answer,” explained Dr Fallon.
For Rankin’s wife, Gemma, it’s been devastating.
“He asked it ‘what should I wear to work today’ and then it was ‘what is the optimal way to consume my breakfast’, before you knew it he was asking ChatGPT ‘did I like that movie?’ After going to the cinema, he pissed his pants one time after ChatGPT took too long to get back to him when he asked ‘how to untie belt buckle?’,” an emotional Gemma confirmed.
“This is the future, whether you like it or not, so get used to it,” dribbled Rnakin from his bedside as his wife packed up her belongings and left.
