Dad Posts Completely Unrelated, 2,000 Word Strong Comment Below News Story About Tragic Drowning

A LOCAL DAD with a prolific rate of commenting on Facebook has entered the comments below a tragic news story about multiple drownings at an Irish swimming spot to share a lengthy, completely unrelated comment, as is his trademark style.

“Is this lad lost?” pondered anyone whose eyes breezed past the comment as they searched through hundreds of other, normal people, sharing their condolences on a drowning.

“I’ve been in therapy over this, I’ve just learned to accept Dad’s a massive weirdo,” confirmed daughter of commenter Declan Ferrity, Shauna.

Confusing everyone, Declan Ferrity’s thought process or lack thereof remains a mystery to everyone but what is clear is that he believed this particular comment section was where a random stream of consciousness belonged.

“Mammy and daddy used to take us a beach that was nothing like this at all, but during the summers, would have been 1972 I think, @BernieOToole was there as well, all the cousins, we loved it, couldn’t beat the sunshine and the 99s, although the sun was rare in an Irish summer, I had my treasured red swimming trunks, mammy left them behind, forgot to pack them, in the mobile home and I wailed the whole way home. Daddy gave me an awful belt but even that didn’t shut me up, I loved those trunks…” began Ferrite’s comment, the sole comment among a thong of mourners that did not directly reference the events outlined in the Dublin Live article.

“No, no, Dad hasn’t accidentally posted a comment on the wrong comment section, it wasn’t a DM he accidentally posted in the comments, this is just Dad and we have to learn to accept it,” said Shauna, still recovering form her father leaving a 4,000 word comment about FGM rates across the world below a picture of his grandson’s first day at school.
