‘Man-feigning’: New Trend Sees Men Pretending To Be Fully Interested In Partner’s Bullshit Life Dramas

A NUMBER of TikTok videos has led to the revelations that men are partaking in the ‘man-feigning’ trend which requires the participant to falsify an intense interest in their partner’s ‘bullshit life dramas’.

“Men are teaching themselves to periodically showcase a variety of facial expressions ranging from shock, surprise, agreement and anger by following Man-feigning tutorials,” explained social media trend expert Alex Fox.

By nodding along enthusiastically to their girlfriend or wife as they regale them with the story of their work colleague’s sister’s kids’ terrible experience at a dentist recently, men are ensuring they suffer no admonishment for not being present and caring.

“I pepper in a ‘no way’, ‘wow, really? Wow’ every so often so it sounds like I’m engaged but really I’m mentally running through my fantasy football team in my head,” explained man-feigner Max Deaton.

“Why should I have to engage and really invest in a story when it’s about my girlfriend’s friend of a friend who is going to wear an off white dress to an upcoming wedding despite the fact only the bride should be in white?” defended man-feigner Jack Healy.

The revelatory news that many men are just absentmindedly nodding along while retaining no information about how Grace now goes to the same hairdresser as Emma but Emma had him first and can’t get an appointment on the morning of her own hen party and Grace won’t give her her appointment has shocked many.

“But who will I tell my long rambling stories with too many side quests and side characters that ultimately goes nowhere if I can’t trust my boyfriend to really listen?” asked local woman, Megan Keane.
