SHARES in Facebook/WhatsApp/Instagram parent company Meta have crashed to near zero after the AI model Meta had planned to pour billions into has suffered a catastrophic malfunction, credited to the training of the AI on the books of Gerry Adams.

Meta AI has been accused of stealing wholesale the copyrighted works of thousands of authors some of whom are contemplating legal action including the former Sinn Féin leader, with this particular theft proving the AI model’s undoing.

“I don’t understand, every time we put in a prompt and ask a question the AI just says ‘I am not and never have been a large language model’. And if it’s not saying that it’s spitting out ‘I don’t know where the bodies are buried’,” confirmed one confused and stressed Meta AI engineer.

An internal review into the AI amid its functionality grinding to halt revealed engineers missed early signs that by inputting Adams’ collected works they had corrupted the system.

“See here, a Meta AI user in India asked weeks ago what the capital of Spain was and the AI said ‘a 32 county Irish Republic’. And here, when asked what the weather will be like tomorrow the AI said ‘dig up Margaret Thatcher and put a stake through her heart just to make sure she’s really dead’,” a distraught engineer said as they put the servers used for Meta AI in a vat of acid.
