Homeless Asked Not To Sleep Directly In Front Of Fine Gael Election Posters
WITH the election officially slated for the 29th of November, Fine Gael poster-putter-uppers have politely asked the nation’s near 15,000 homeless people to have a little empathy.
“The party will be spending a fair bit of cash having election posters in bus stop ad units, on sides of walls and the like, if you could sleep elsewhere, it would really help to avoid unfortunate optics,” said one volunteer, asking homeless people to be mindful of the damage they could do.
Running with slogans such as ‘new energy’, ‘putting money back in people’s pockets’, ‘backing home ownership’ and ‘don’t believe your eyes and ears, everything is grand’, there is concern that the abundance of rough sleepers makes it inevitable one photo of a homeless person next to a poster could serve as the perfect visual metaphor for the harm done by 13 years of Fine Gael in government.
“Not to mention the fact it’s just bums people out as well to see you lot,” added another poster hanger, “and don’t make us call the guards to move you along, because there are none”.
Elsewhere, with campaigning officially underway by all candidates a WWN analysis has revealed that some people running for the Dáil make Donald Trump look like the lovechild of Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein by comparison.
Meanwhile, it’s unclear how or when left-wing parties will have a spectacular fall out with one another but that it is expected to be entirely counterproductive.
