Poll: What Films Would You Like To See Join Barbie On The Leaving Cert Cirriculum?
THE DEPARTMENT of Education has revealed that Barbie, along with The Banshees of Inisherin, will be added the Leaving Certificate English syllabus for 2026 as part of the comparative text portion of the exam.
While it’s not uncommon for contemporary films to feature as a non-mandatory option on the syllabus, some people feel the Greta Gerwig movie is a poor choice, prompting people to suggest more deserving films.
