Having Learned Lesson With FG, Irish Public Vow To Vote For FF

MAJOR changes are in store for the nation of Ireland amid the ongoing political fallout from the whistleblower scandal, with the public look set to oust Fine Gael from power and give Fianna Fáil a go for a change in the event of a general election.

Although the Enda Kenny-led coalition government managed to make it through a vote of no confidence last week, spectators remain convinced that the current regime has only the slimmest of chances of surviving the ongoing backlash, with the calling of a general election looking ‘more and more likely by the day’.

With the Irish public sick of cronyistic, self-serving career politicians with a history of causing misery and pain to the weakest in society, any upcoming election looks set to put Fianna Fáil back in power for the first time in well over five years.

The appointment of Fianna Fáil as the leading party in Ireland looks set to finally end pretty much all of the Nation’s problems in a prompt, efficient and painless manner.

“If you look back at the history of governments over the last 80 years, you’ll see that Fine Gael have always been in power,” said one newly-converted fan of Fianna Fáil.

“Well, except for the 52 total years where Fianna Fáil were in power. But that’s ancient history, and besides nothing bad happened whatsoever when FF were in charge. If there was an election called tomorrow, I’d be voting for Micheál Martin and the lads, not that Fine Gael shower. Once bitten, twice shy”.

Although the notion that perhaps some party other than Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael should be given a chance to see what they could do for Ireland was suggested, it was quickly mocked for being ‘the stuff of pure fantasy’.
